We wish to acknowledge your letter of 29 September 2007 and beg your indulgence for not having managed to respond sooner due to the volume of mail which we have received since the promulgation of the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum and the many matter which have required our immediate attention.
With regard to your dubia, we respond as follows:
Candidates for the priesthood in the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church have the right to be instructed in both forms of the Roman Rite.
Those responsible for the formation of candidates for the priesthood in the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church should provide for the instruction of their candidates in both forms of the Roman Rite.
We expect that these matters will soon be treated in an instruction on the application of the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum.

Deseamos acusar recibo de su carta del 29 de Septiembre de 2007 y solicitamos su indulgencia por no haber podido responder antes debido al volumen de correo que hemos recibido desde la promulgación del Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum y por las muchas cuestiones que han requerido nuestra inmediata atención.
Con referencia a su dubia, respondemos como sigue:
1. Los candidatos al sacerdocio en el Rito Romano de la Iglesia Católica tienen el derecho a ser instruidos en ambas formas del Rito Romano.
2. Aquellos responsables de la formación de candidatos al sacerdocio en el Rito Romano de la Iglesia Católica deben proporcionar la instrucción de sus candidatos en ambas formas del Rito Romano.
Esperamos que estos aspectos sean pronto tratados en una instrución sobre la aplicación del Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum.
